I never used 1Password 6, I always knew I had a license, but I was stuck with 1Password 4. Your license file remains valid for 1Password 4 and 1Password 6 for Mac. If you purchased a standalone license for 1Password for Mac between January 1, 2013, and March 26, 2018, your license came in the form of a license file.
If you previously downloaded your license file, you can search your Mac for it and apply it to 1Password. Legacy license files are no longer available for download. for iPassword 6 there is no code, there is a link to a license file and a note: Your 1Password 6 license entitles you to use 1Password 4 and 5 as well which use the same license file as 1Password 6. When I asked which license I have, I got an email with all licenses information. It was great.I have purchases 1Password many years ago, I think several versions, probably 3 and 4 or 5 for windows and Mac. Dashlane handled all the work for me no copy-pasting was required. I used it for a few days, and I never had to open the browser extension while browsing. It’s bordering on ridiculous how good Dashlane is at this. Pretty much any site you visit, you’ll either see Dashlane’s autofill notification appear near an entry field or the offer to save a new password. Overall, I was impressed with Dashlane in this regard. The other is how it helps you navigate the web by offering to remember passwords and auto-filling them as you go. However, this is only one part of what a password manager does. You can only pick from a pre-selected list of types (news, entertainment, tech, etc.), and there’s no way to filter according to type, at least not really.
So far, so good, but I do have to say I’m less impressed with how Dashlane lets you categorize entries.
